Move Cafe24 products: connect, test and review in six steps

A Cafe24 product move is easier to manage in three parts: preparation, a small test copy and the main move. In COZi you import your Cafe24 products, check a preview before copying and a result for each product afterwards. This guide lists what to decide and check at each step.

What to prepare

Get admin access to Cafe24 and to the target store, plus the connection details each platform asks for. Before you set a date, check in COZi that copying in that direction is available and which settings the target store needs.

  • Source store. Confirm which Cafe24 store the products come from, and bring its product data up to date.
  • Target store. Decide where the new products will be listed. Imweb, Smartstore, Coupang, Toss Shopping and Godomall each need different settings as a target store.
  • Connection details. Prepare the consent or keys each platform's connection screen asks for.
  • Schedule. Plan time for the test copy, manual fixes and final review.

The Cafe24 move, step by step

  1. Connect the stores

Connect Cafe24 and the target store, and check that the connected store names are right.

  2. Import products

Import your Cafe24 products into COZi and check that recent changes are included.

  3. Pick test products

Pick a few representative products with the categories, options and images you actually use.

  4. Check the preview

Check copy eligibility, skip reasons and the target store settings needed, then decide whether to go ahead.

  5. Start the copy and follow it

Start the copy and watch progress and per-product results on the job screen.

  6. Review, then widen the scope

Check the products in the target store, handle exceptions, then plan the rest.

Step 1: Connect Cafe24 and the target store

Add Cafe24 on the store connection screen, then sign in to Cafe24 and approve access as instructed. Cafe24 connects by consent; you do not enter a key. After connecting, check that the store name shown matches the store you are moving from.

Cafe24 documents its connection system in the Cafe24 developer docs. Use the COZi connection screen to see exactly what COZi needs.

  • Check that the source store is the Cafe24 store that holds the products.
  • Check that the target store is where you want the new products listed.
  • Do not choose the same store account as both source and target.
  • Move on once the connection status shows Connected.

Each target platform connects differently. Smartstore needs a Commerce API application key and a registered API IP address, and Coupang and Toss Shopping need keys issued in their seller centers. Connecting does not finish the setup. You still need to check the copy direction and the target store settings.

Step 2: Import your Cafe24 products

Import your Cafe24 products into COZi and look through the list. Open a few products you know well to confirm the store and product details are right.

If you changed prices, options, images or selling status since the last import, import again before preparing the copy. If someone else edits the source store, agree on which version of the product data to move.

Step 3: Select products and read the preview

Use search and filters in the product list to choose a small test scope. Note the products you chose so you do not copy them again in the main move.

Before starting, read the preview and its notes, and check these three things.

  • Categories. Check which target store category each product will go into. With an Imweb target store, products without a category of the same name need a fallback category, so creating the categories you need in advance saves a step.
  • Products that cannot be copied. Check which products will be skipped and why. Each target store limits certain option types or product fields.
  • Display and selling status. Check whether the target store lets you create products as hidden or sell them right away, and decide when to make them public.

Step 4: Start the copy and check each product

Once the preview and target store settings are ready, start the copy. Follow progress on the job screen. When processing finishes, the final review begins. Check the real product pages in the target store before you start selling.

Six things to check on copied products
CheckWhat to look atWhy it matters
Product identityThe right product was created in the right target storeSimilar names make a wrong pick easy to miss
CategoryThe product sits in the intended categoryCustomers need to be able to find it
OptionsChoices, combinations, extra prices and availabilityCustomers need to be able to pick the variant they want
Images and descriptionMain and additional images, details and linksEach platform displays them differently
Selling settingsPrice, display and availabilityThey must match your launch plan
Move recordSource product, copy result and any problemsYou need to know what is left before the next job

If a problem appears, read the per-product result before retrying. Some cases need a target store setting fixed or a direct check in the target store. Copying the same scope again from the start because some products failed can create duplicates.

Step 5: Review results and handle exceptions

Check the products marked succeeded, failed and skipped. Use the succeeded products as your review list in the target store, and put the rest on a separate list.

What to do next for each result
ResultNext step
Image-related failureCheck the product images and the failure reason, then decide whether to retry
Unsupported option or product typeCheck the limit and list the product by hand if needed
Missing target categoryCreate the category or choose a fallback, then check again
Store connection problemReconnect the store, then continue
Creation could not be confirmedCheck the target store first so you do not create a duplicate

Use Retry failed only (실패만 다시 시도) on the results screen after you fix the cause. Whether a retry is possible depends on the target store and the type of failure. For products COZi could not confirm, check the target store first.

Things to watch when moving Cafe24 products

  • Check the direction. Confirm in the service that copying from Cafe24 to your chosen target store is available. Do not assume the reverse direction works too.
  • Prepare Imweb categories in advance. Products without a category of the same name need a fallback category.
  • Not every product structure can be copied. For set products and some option types, read the skip reasons in the preview.
  • Product copy is not a full store move. Plan customer data, past orders, payment contracts and store policies separately.
  • Be careful when copying again. An Imweb target store does not register a product it already has, and it does not support review copy.
  • Do the final review in the target store. Check prices, options, images, descriptions, shipping and selling settings before going public.

When to widen the scope

If the test products moved correctly, plan the rest in batches you can review. If bulk copy is available for your combination, you can copy many products as one job. The preparation summary, limits and required settings differ by direction, so check them before starting.

  • Review the included products, skip reasons and required settings before starting.
  • Use pause, resume and cancel on the job screen, and check that the status changes.
  • Check again that the display and selling settings match your test.
  • Leave time after processing to review results and finish the products you will handle by hand.

Check your Cafe24 direction in COZi and copy a few representative products first. Review the target store with the migration checklist, then move the rest.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to connect Cafe24?

Cafe24 connects by signing in to Cafe24 and approving access; you do not enter a key. Depending on the platform, the target store may need keys from its seller center or extra settings, so follow the connection screen.

Does copying delete my Cafe24 source products?

No. Copying reads the source products and creates new products in the target store; the originals stay as they are. Keep them until you have reviewed the target store and settled your plan.

If I connect two stores, can I copy between them?

Not necessarily. The direction has to be supported and the target store settings have to be complete. After connecting, check the available directions and fields on the copy screen and in the preview.

Can I move set products and every option type?

It depends on the structure. Check copy eligibility and skip reasons for your target store, and list products that cannot be copied by hand.

Are copied products published right away?

It depends on the target store and the display setting you choose. Check the display and selling settings before starting, and review the result in the target store before going public.

What if I left the copy screen?

Go back to the job screen and check progress or results. A started job keeps running after you close the tab, so check the products already processed before starting a new copy.
